Samuel Adams – Boston Lager
For my first beer, I've decided to go with a pretty basic brew. Namely, Sam Adams Boston Lager. I feel that this is their flagship brew (although I may be a bit biased as I'm from the Boston area), and for a good reason. The color is amber with about a 5% opacity. The head is weak and light, although thats not a bad thing. Flavor wise, this is a very full beer. One can clearly taste the abundance of noble hops used in brewing. There is also a very slight hint of caramel, although it is quickly overcome by a hoppy aftertaste, which can be a bit on the bitter side.
Overall, I give this beer a 7 out of 10
